Is there a way to set the Z4K xfmr for an 18v startup instead of having to ramp up the handles everytime?  Using a TIU (and TMCC) this is kind of a pain instead of just being able to turn on and go.  Read the current instruction manual online and didn't see anything concerning this.

My Z4K is about 4 years old from a dealer, how long he had it I don't know.

Yes, there is a  way to od this, as long as you use DCS with a DCS Remote (but not the DCS App).

You would need an MTH Z-4000 Remote Commander receiver, item #40-4002. You do not need the handheld remote that is its companion product. It's function is replaced by the DCS Remote.

Using DCS, you would set up Z4K Tracks that would allow each TIU channel to be turned up directly to 18 volts (or any other value) with a click of the DCS Remote's thumbwheel.

A complete discussion of Z4K Tracks may be found in The DCS Companion 3rd Edition on pages 97-101.
