So #1361 might take a while.. We still have the next best thing! Just wanted to know if Long Island 39 is any closer to restoration. I heard #39 is it Strasburg getting restored. I've found some interesting things at Strasburg (WDWRR Lily Belle) Just wanted to see if it was in one of their storage sheds or actually getting restored at this time.

No news. They need something like $800K to even start the project. While I'd give my left arm to see it run, I don't see it happening. Hope I'm wrong and I see it run the Montauk or Greenport/Ronkonkoma Branch (or both!) one day before I die!

Well,,,,,yes #39 is indeed at the Strasburg Rail Road, but not "getting restored", on a full time basis. The organization that owns #39 needs to provide Strasburg lots more money in order to complete the project.
