The 2367-52 grounding spring is used on the late postwar F units to ground the truck to the frame.  My question is how many grounding springs were used?  One per truck (total of two) or only one?  If only one was used which truck was it used on? Leading or trailing?

Thanks for your help.

The service manual is not clear on the number required as the spring is not shown in its proper position in the diagram.  My personal experience has been that there is only one but I was wondering if it was an error from the factory.  I have never seen a locomotive with two but have never had the reason to check.  Only when I am doing repairs.

Thanks for your comments.
