Although I've never been to the Big E yet, it sounds like it's in the league of the Allentown ATMA show, which puts shows like that as second only to York itself. You haven't missed anything at Greenberg shows of today. They are a distant, distant third place ranking of sorts. Wouldn't even put them in the league of Allentown and Amherst.

David is absolutely right about Greenberg shows. It's getting to the point, IMO, that they're better for finding Batman action figures and remote-controlled helicopters than O Gauge trains.
The Big E is much larger than Allentown show. Heavy on club layouts. Offerings in lots of different scales (not always a good thing for us O Gaugers). More vendors who offer merchandise that support and enhance a train layout: signals, signs, scenery items, track, molds and plaster, etc. Fewer private sellers. But Allentown's still a good show. And then there's the indoor Farmer's Market across the street!
btw, nice tank cars!

I was following the other thread on the Big E, looked like a neat show. I'm in the Midwest and have a dumb question, where is it? Not sure anyone has said in any of the posts about it, at least I haven't seen it anyway?
We only have HO & N shows around here, with maybe a slim few tables of O gauge. Most of that is postwar and I have only modern command control items, so not much for me to look at here. Out of the 3 or so shows I have been to around here the O-gauge postwar stuff is mostly in fairly poor condition.
It is in the Eastern States Exposition Center in Springfield, MA.
West Springfield, MA. Here is website of show.
That was quick, thanks!
Nice find! And add me to the list of those lamenting the decline of the Greenberg shows. Some, like Edison, are still quite good while others not so much.

So, I'm confused (again).
Did you get those cars at the Amhearst show? here

Do they have a lot of O gauge? any two rail?
Which show is better??
