Well to participate in trying my best to honor such people , I don't have much to offer personally, however here are two box cars that represent my Military Career...serving in the USAF as an Officer and in the Department of the Navy as an engineer.
As support to the prime topic, all those folks who gained the purple heart would have needed medical attention. My wife, who passed away last year, was a nurse for over 40 years and today would have been her 79th birthday. In her career, the first 10 or so years she worked for the USAF at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio and the last ten or so years (1997-2007) she worked for the USN at Patuxent River NAS in Leonardtown, MD.
Best Wishes and all honor to those whose sacrifice meant that we could have the life we do.
