No Site for Past 3rd Rail Offerings?

Here's the brochure for the F7Ps.  They have been out for only a year.  I've also attached what might be the GGD aluminum passenger cars.  I don't know when they were delivered.

I also wish that there was a site with prior offerings.

That would actually be useful.

In the past, I've had to do a lot of internet searching to find features of previous 3rd Rail stuff. 

Usually what happens is I see something else to add to my 'wanted' list different than my original search started for!

I guess these don't get done unless someone is motivated to do it.  I don't think there is a great deal of profit in it, although I would probably pay for a copy if it was done well with good photos.

Sometimes you can find a PDF on past 3rd Rail projects if you do a search for a specific product.

It would be nice if there was a resource for past projects.

Also, if you know the year something was released, you can look through past issues of O Scale Trains and check out old 3rd Rail ads.

This whole "build to order" model is hard to keep up with.

Bob Heil (Forum contributor) might be the man to help build such a list

Who is he?

I was going to talk to Scott Mann about this very subject but he couldn't make York.  Would love to see what they have produced over the last twenty years.

Do you think he really cares?

I am sure he cares, but there are more productive things for him to do.  It will be up to a hobbyist who just wants to contribute to the history of the hobby.

I agree, bob2.  It is a project begging for a volunteer to put in a lot of hours for the satisfaction of having done something for the greater good of the hobby.

Hello guys and gals...

Does anyone have a brochure of the Sunset3rd S.F. 5011 class 2-10-4 that was made 

in 2002. I have never seen the brochure but surely would like to see it.  I was told by

Scott Mann that thye made 100 in 2 rail and 150 in 3 rail and doesn't have a brochure

of it.

The Canadian was designed through 2012 and early 2013 and went into production in the Summer of 2013 for a December delivery if I recall correctly. 

It would be a great project for someone to either write a book on or publish on the internet.  The relative rarity of some of the Sunset product would make for a very interesting read. 

What would be also interesting is how many people truly contribute to the success of each project.  I can't begin to list the names of people who have helped me over the years on the various projects I have been involved with.  Scott fosters such a great team attitude where the modeling community truly works as a community.
