Hey guys!!!

Remember when I was griping and whining about the lack of a logging loco in O27? I have rectified that with a very interesting and frankly, one of a kind piece. Dave Rippinger, a really cool dude, sent me this Neptune-esque 0-4-4 loco with 4 skeleton cars! Happy!

The customs guys got into it and broke the mount to the top of the body where the screw goes through to the motor but I fixed it all up last night, along with gluing the wood fuel down again to the plate it's mounted on.

This little locomotive runs like a champ, I'm very excited by it. I just cannot believe this is someone's custom kitbash. The more and more I look at it, the more I think it's as built. Doing some research last night on the model number 8240-45, I came up with a few of the "Neptune" 0-4-0 locomotives, leading me to believe that this is built after one of them with an extended fuel bunker. Regardless, it's a very cool loco that I'm looking to upgrade as it does not have smoke or a whistle.

Any ideas?

That's correct. Here is a photograph of one from my most treasured railway book, 'All about railways' by F.S. Hartnell.
