Anyone double heading steam w/ diesel using DCS? Any problems, etc.?

Paul,
I have a pair of steam lashups that I operate with little or no issues. One is a Premier PRR H10s Consolidation (PS3) followed by a Premier PRR H3 Consolidation (PS2). The second is a PRR Rail King Imperial L1 Mikado (PS3) followed by a Premier PRR 0-8-0 (PS3).
I've set both up with lighting settings that persist between operating sessions.
Although I have, on occasion, run some of these engines as individual units, typically they are run as lashups.
When you LASH UP a steamer and a diesel, do you have to use a different kind of rope?
On a more serious note, I have double headed an MTH steam locomotive with an MTH diesel and it worked just fine.

Under DCS, MTH multi-unit consists make absolutely no distinction between steam vs. diesel vs. electric vs. subway; Rail King vs. Premier; or PS2 vs. PS3.
All that's important is that all of the units in the consist run at, or about, the same speed.
In the prototype transition era, and with later excursions, either one would help or rescue the other.
You bet. Results were good. I chose to have the 3460-Class 4-6-4 leading the 100-Class FT diesel, as Santa Fe ran a lot of doubleheaders such as that when I was a boy.

Yeah as we use wire rope...some call it cable which is not to be confused with a mu/ lashup cable...got it??!!
better days with DCS 4.2 I believe?
I have used "lash up" to synchronize my MTH DL& W FT pushers at the back of a train pulled by a MTH DLW pacific with no trouble.
It doesn't matter if you end your "lash up" with a clove hitch or a timber hitch
:-p
