Hi Everyone!...New to the hobby!- I Have an Autistic son & wanted to ask if there was anyone on the Long Island N.Y. C. area ( Nassau County) who would be willing to help setup a polar type winter layout on a 4x8 or 6x10 over /under layout i had in mind...Would be greatly appreciated as I wouldn`t be that great at doing this but i would work with you & learn...

I live in Wisconsin , so I am too far to help you at this time .
A 6 x 10 table or bigger would be better for over & under style layout.
I would suggest Lionel Fast TRACK .

Welcome to the forum!
Maybe start out with a set that has an engine, cars, track and power. Add on track and accessories as you need and can fit within your space (and budget). Check out the threads in this topic and search for Christmas/winter layouts. Lots of neat ideas and photos - so you can get an idea.
Sal, I'm from the other side of the sound!... welcome to the forum. I have seen many post about LI clubs. Google Long Island model trains. I'm sure you will see something close by. As said above check out one of our forum sponsors Nassau Hobbies . I'm sure they can help you out.
