So I finally got around to hooking up my Legacy system, so it can run with Cab1 and DCS. So then I fired up a Legacy loc and gave it a whirl. It started up just fine and got it going forward OK. Smoke and lights work as they should. Running in Cab1 mode. So then I went to reverse it by pressing the boost/brake controller, and it won't reverse. Just proceeds in forward again. Anyone any idea what's up?

I have previously upgraded cab2 and base 2 to v1.52. The engine runs perfectly normal using a cab1 controller. Everything else is running fine including DCS engines. Thanks.

Make sure you are pushing straight down. The rocker button is set up so that if you push down it changes direction from its last state, if push down and up it will go forward regardless of its last direction, and if push down and pull back it will go reverse regardless of its last directional state.

Page 13 and 21 of the manual.

Also you can use the velocity throttle direction control. When enabled, when the loco is stopped if you "flick" the Red know counter clockwise it will change direction. Page 48.

An update: Well I played around with most everything I could, and lo and behold, suddenly the direction button started working! Yahoo.  And now when I press it there is a definite detent which wasn't there before. I am guessing the button was somehow seized up and continued use finally freed it up. All is well. And I have tried out most other cab2 features and everything seems to be doing what it should.

So thanks for the comments and suggestions. Problem solved!
