Here is a layout of western North Dakota in the Bakken shale fracking basin.   It includes a scratch-built crude oil trans-load facility and three of Lionel's bubbling oil derricks with motorized "nodding donkey" pumps.   Some of the terrain is flat, but with some rough mountains with tunnels.   The O-60 outer route has a slight grade of 2%, climbing to just 1/2" to go under the mountain at the right, to add some terrain interest.   Branching off of the outer route is a siding serving Menard's Power Plant long enough to hold a cut of hopper cars.

Also included is an On30 line on the mountain and ridge, that crosses over the O gauge layout on a bridge/trestle.   This run is intended to be a back-and-forth automated run, with a short train pausing at each end.   With a highly-detailed Bachmann On30 train from one of their train sets, which run very smoothly.

The outer route is O-60, and the inner route is O-48 and O-36.   It has an O-72 'Y' turnout, 45 and 90 degree crossings.   Turnouts are O-60 and O-48, with one O-36 for industry tracks in the center.   There are reversing loops and an O-60 cross-over.   I hope you enjoy, thanks for looking, and comments and suggestions are very welcome!
