A guy sets up a monorail and partial recreation of the Magic Kingdom at the Louisville Great Train show every year.  I think it's still called the Great Train Show.   He has a guy that  rebuilds the engines, he changes the drivetrain and makes them more reliable.    Evidently there is enough interest in the Monorails to have a small dedicated following.    His setup features the train station and Disney train that runs around  the park and a few of the models of Disney attractions set in the appropriate place inside the park model.   His monorail goes thru the motel just like at Disney World.   I wish I could give more accurate info, but I have only talked to the guy once.
