Enjoyed the photos and beautiful, gothic layout, a real master piece!

I informed my family about you and the article along with a video. It will be nice to know that my Grandkids can visit the vast collection of RR items housed in a beautiful museum someday.

Most layouts / collections just get parted out and sold off.

They may even get to see the vast collection of their own Grandpa’s weathered cars on display there as well.

That would be an honor.

Wonderful article...wonderful layout.

A great story about a dedicated model railroader and a nice guy who is a pleasure to know. Those of us who are local to Don enjoy the constantly evolving scenes in his small basement and I'm sure the OGR video fans will be amazed.

I could have met Don at Trainstock 3 I believe. There was so much to see that it was overwhelming. One of the OGR head guru's told me to scale it down a bit as I was acting like a kid in a candy store. It floored me as I didn't realize I was out of order. I did get to meet a lot of the big players here.

 So although I thought it looked like Don, I never approached him. Kind of sticks in the back of my mind as a missed opportunity. He ruled the scenery showcase for a long time (couple of years?) with some amazing new structures every week!

Great job Don.  I would love to see your layout someday on my way to the Falls.  Thanks for the heads up Jim on this great story.
