A couple of weeks ago I posted a question regarding "can I use dual sensors to operate my crossing signal for a train going in either direction on my main."  The replies were mostly of a negative response that said no it will not work.  Because I decided to use Z Stuff signals to make my layout more realistic, I decided to ask the Z Stuff people the same question.  They said it is most definitely possible.  You need to use the Z Stuff sensor 1070 and sensor 1075.  There is a schematic on the Z Stuff web site that shows how to wire the whole thing.  I am not knocking the replies you all gave me a couple of weeks ago, I am only passing on info I received that may help someone on the Forum that has a crossing they would like to work no matter which way the train was traveling.  I hope this is good info for someone out there.

Hey Gandy,

You can definitely do that. Attached is  the manual for the Lionel 153IR. see page 13. Two MTH ITADs could be wired the same. You can also get your own components on eBay from an foreign supplier and build your own. Finally, you can use an outside isolated rail to activate the signals the old school way coming from either direction.

Was your application more complicated in some way?
