walbash1walbash1-2

Well I worked on this layout awhile ago. it's a fastrack version of the walbash layout with some added stuff. for some reason I keep coming back to this layout I think I might be to A.D.D. for trains LOL I get a layout started get about half way done and start all over again cause I don't like certain features but this one I have liked other than the space it takes up I'm not fat but not small either and in my given space it leaves about a foot all the way around the layout in the room which might be an issue . it also blocks off the 3 attic spaces in the loft room I use. which is where the xmas tree is and all the train boxes. so it would make those attic spaces useless. I have thought about selling the house too in the next few years so I want to make the layout more of a piece of furniture than a layout and have it disassemble into sections. if I do 2x4 sections it would be about 17 sections. which doesn't include the current yard that I want to continue to use.  but here it is let me know what you think.

Thanks for sharing but you are really setting yourself up for a lot of hassles and disappointment: only a foot of space all the way around the layout and a loss of 3 attic spaces.   That's just a poor design.  I know from experience it's hard to give up layout elements and make them smaller in size but smaller is sometimes better.
