Hey everyone,

I am new here on the O Gauge Forums and I am looking to provide a 4' x 8' table to place this on. I haven't been able to find one online.  Has anyone on here found a nice fold up table that could handle this, or any other table that could keep an 0-32 radius?

Best,

James

Cheaper is always good, so you might have to look for something used, like maybe a large hotel upgrading the tables they use for banquets, etc. Schools might have some they are getting rid of at the end of the school year. The one I linked to had free shipping, so it doesn't have to be local for pick up.

If it was me, I might be inclined to try a sheet of plywood with 1x ribs screwed to it or even an old hollow core door from a recycling center if I could find one wide enough and just set that on 2 folding sawhorses.

James, there are all kinds of 30" wide tables  and buying 2 would be cheaper than the one I posted. There are also many plans on how to build your own or even something like a fold-down shelf wide enough for the O32 (though that appears to be RealTrax O31 track).  I once had a RealTrax oval just like that on a 4'x8' sheet of 1" rigid foam on a 30"x72" folding table. I attached the track with screws so I didn't have to tear down the track each time I put it in storage. It all depends on your ultimate goal.

Screw these folding table legs to a piece of 3/4" plywood About $75 or $80 when your done.

2 of these tables , They are sold by Target and may have ship to store. About $150.

The folding legs hinges meant for use with say 2 x 2 lumber are not inexpensive either.

Search craigslist for a folding banquet table like Daz put up (30" x 8') and screw a piece of 1/2" plywood to the top.

There are 34-34 1/2" plastic square tables that is would fit on. But, two of those are only almost 6' long and cost the same as other options.

The HomeStores will cut the lumber for you. Build the table with legs that remove the screws. You need a screw/drill tool and a some deck screws.
