We have all checked out o scale vehicles, but does anyone make a garbage truck?
A truck complete with workers and cans with removable lids would be cool. We
could even put o scale garbage in them! Any thoughts?

Die cast Direct has a few and I am sure other die cast companies. I have one on my club layout with a 50's cab, not sure what manufacturer made it.
There are a few, some even have cans or dumpsters. Most of the ones in o-scale are modern era trucks.

Diecastdirect.com has an assortment but most of them are 1:50th scale. I saw this Kenworth job on Amazon for a good price.
Tractor supply has that New Ray packer truck w/Peterbilt chassis on sale for 4.99.

I didn't even have to search for them. I came across them when I do my usual ebay search of 1:43 cars & trucks newly listed.
