Hello, I am having a problem with scarm that I don't know how to fix. I keep getting a message that reads..." Access violation at address 00403ed8 in module 'scarm.exe'. Read of address 69005442. " I am not able to close the program and I have done a lot of work on it today. Does anyone have any idea as to what this may be all about? Thanks, Rich

RTR and Moonman, Thanks for your input, I had a pretty large file and decided to make it into four new files by quadrant, I was able to close three of them, and then on the fourth one i had to divide that again into two parts, and again one of them I was able to close but not the other. on the last piece of the last file I disconnected each peice of track and once again tried to close the file but it would not let me. Alas I had the program manager shut it down unsaved, but at least it was just a small section that should not be too hard to recreate. I think now I should look into what version of the program I have and make sure that it is the latest, thanks Moonman.

This whole project was taken from another saved file to begin with because I wanted to make changes and keep the original just in case. Whew.  Fortunately whenever I decide to make a lot of changes to a track plan I always keep the original to go back to.

Once again thanks to both of you for your support. Rich

Moonman , I may have confused you with my reply earlier. I too move around the large files so that I can see them properly and work accordingly. To clarify, each time I tried to close the file, after saving the work , the pop up with the warning that I posted earlier would prevent me from closing the file.

To get around this block, I then copied sections of my work, and saved them individually, as upper right, upper left, and so on so that I could put it back together later. Doing this I was able to save more than 80% of my work before I was once again stopped by the notice mentioned earlier. I don,t think I had any tools open, but that may have been the problem. I went to the scarm website, but was not able to locate anything that looked like it would apply. That's why I decided to save my file the way I did. Thanks again, Rich
