I have a standard gauge Ives box cab and three passenger cars in need of restoration. I have had someone who did restorations in the past, but he is taking some time away from doing any more restorations. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good source for restorations of Ives pieces? They are not especially rare pieces, but are a nice set, with a fair set box.

Thanks

thank you Pappy for the vote of confidence.  But what restoration I have done, has been just my own pieces... I'm happy with the results and run them on my layout, but I don't consider my skills to be professional grade by any means.  I'm not sure I'd feel confident enough to tackle vintage Ives that should be done 'right'.

I know Joe Mania does professional restorations, his work is always completely authentic and top quality.

These folks, TTRP,  look promising, although I have never actually worked with them on anything.

I have purchased some vintage Ives from "nighthawk" here on the forum, which had been restored by Hobby Horse,  and although again I have not worked with them myself, I can say that the restorations they did are absolutely top notch.

I don't know if Chris Lonero has done any work for others, and I have not seen his work up close, but I must say that the restorations he has posted here on the forum are quite brilliant.  I would say the same of Steve Eastman's work.  The before-and-after pictures both these guys post are jaw-dropping.
