I been considering the new Lionel GS-4 4449 6-83193 (2016) or the Lionel Black GS-2 (2013) 6-11419 #4412 with Legacy.

Does the Lionel Black GS-2 6-11419 work with the sensor track?

Is there any other differences between them other than then the whistle steam effect?

According to this list on the Lionel site.

Yes it's compatible with the sensor track.
