Oh my! I gotta have six of the motel teepees : I know right where they will go. Also the ice cream cone shack - again, I got the perfect place for it. VEry cool!
They are super cool but Bachmann has them listed as HO size. May or may not be a deal breaker. Someone did the cool bulldog restaurant last seen in "The Rocketeer". Has anyone ever done the Tail of the Pup eatery in LA?
I thought it said they would be released in several scales on another page. I want them for a diorama for my diecast cars.
COOL!!! But the MSRP is TOO high....I know Bachmann MSRP doesn't mean much....but even at what should be street pricing....out of my range.
I would agree with the proviso that these reproductions could be the only ones done. I have to admit I am a Route 66 fan though..
Could a great inspiration for a scratch-build. But I know that not many people do that anymore.
I'm disappointed they seem to be only in HO scale.
The teepees would be very easy to scratchbuild: you could make it yourself (roll a cone out of paper) or you could go on amazon or e-bay and buy some plastic sno-cone cups and use those. The ice cream cone shack is harder, but on amazon I found a kitchen timer shaped like a ice cream cone, about 4.5 inches high: just about right.
