So I have read pages 124 to 127 in the DCS Companion V3 extensively. It covers all kinds of scenarios for running TMCC, Cab1LL and Legacy with DCS. I am thinking I want to run Cab1L and TMCC with DCS, and I know that Cab1 will only work with the Com1 base and that Cab1L will only work with the Com1L base (or Legacy base). So would I use the Legacy Y cable and hook the ComL base in place of the Legacy base, and connect the Com1 base to the com base leg of they Y cable? Then only the ComL base would be connected with one wire to the layout. Would this work? (My apologies if this has been covered earlier. I had no idea what to even search for.)

Thanks,

Rod

The Legacy Y cable will let you connect the original Base-1 to a Legacy Command base, but will not connect a base1 to a Base-1L.

OK I was afraid of that. So it looks like there is no way to run Cab 1 and Cab 1L together, except to use the Legacy base 2. So be it.

I believe the cab 1 and cab1L operate on different frequencies.

27.255 MHz cab1

2.4 GHz legacy and cab1L

I believe you are right. But so does cab 1 and Legacy; yet the supplied Y cable can be used to tie them together so you can use both a cab1 and cab2 at the same time, with only one track connection. So I thought maybe the same cable could be used to tie a cab 1 and cab1L together.
