I had my very first mth erie berkshire.And ran it it still smokes and pulls well.Keep in mind this locomotive is bare bones.Just head light,smoke and whistle.Nothing else and can still pull with the best of them.I have thought about having the err sound unit put in.So how are your railkings doing?

All my 'brainless' MTH locos are great. A MTH RK Dreyfuss 'loco-sound' ran under the tree for a number of years and still acts new. Good solid locos.

I have a locosound mohawk SAL number 265.I had it pull 24 to 40 car train.Ran it some last night at high speed.Didn,t even get luke warm.Been thinking of getting a lionel sound car.
