Happy to see RMT back in business but trying to follow up on the status of an order without getting any response back. Does anyone have a phone number? Email seems not to work. Thank you.

Walter is really responsive to posts here. He always answers my emails. Be patient.
Thank you. It is not my intention to bury the guy. It appears RMT is a small business and there very well could be a reasonable explanation. But the lack of response is disconcerting, nevertheless. I hope to hear from him soon. Thank you again.
Walter has always answered my questions quite quickly and professionally.
I have just purchased a few of the 0-31 switches to replace some of my older Lionel 022 models.
Very good service
I've sent a few emails, trying to track down my order. I haven't received a response to any of them. I do wish I'd hear back from them. I can understand shipping delays, but not to keen on the no response part.

Ditto that.

Was that recently? Just trying to get a better sense.
Ray:
I've received two orders from RMT this year and had a question about the first. Walter answered me promptly.
Since the majority of RMT's merchandise isn't shipped from Asia until Walter has received an order for it, I have found the 4-6 weeks that he advises to be pretty close to the mark. In fact, on my most recent order, I was actually surprised I received it so quickly given the congestion at the west coast ports where any container with RMT trains is likely to have been worked.
Curt
I appreciate that Curt. As I said, I don't want to make a problem for the man -- everyone is entitled to, for example, time off. Moreover, given the strike on the west coast, I can understand a delay and frankly wouldn't really care if they are several weeks or even months behind. But when you inquire to check status several times and get dead air back, it causes some unease.
I will give it some additional time. If at that point there is still no response, I'll have to deal with it via the card company.
My last purchase from RMT was in December, Ray. At that time Walter sent me a prompt, nice note regarding a special request I had with the order. Other interactions some time ago were similarly positive.
Jim
When you order you get an e mail Invoice which shows what you ordered, price and ESTINATED shipping.
When it is shipped you get the same form but with tracking information on it. I ordered 2 0-31 LH switches on Mar 6 and received shipping info and tracking number on Mar 17.
Gentlemen,
I have been a big advocate of RMT for a very long time, especially their Super Snap Track & Switches, that being said, I do believe every OGR Sponsor needs to have their Business Telephone Number in the Sponsorship Information, for OGR members to use when they need to contact them.
I just dropped RMT an e-mail requesting they add a Business Telephone number to their sponsor information here on the OGR.

Ray Lombardo...For some reason did not receive your email...must have went to my spam folder and automatically deleted.
I try to answer RMT emails as soon as I get time but also last few weeks have been taken up with some serious non-train concerns.
Regarding your order...I will send you an email shortly.
Thanks.
Walter/RMT
Ray Lombardo,
Since you were unable to get in touch With Walter using e-mail, I suggest you ask him for a phone number. His business or cell number would be fine. When we were in business, I always used the phone. Like I always said, if your home is on fire, are you going to e-mail the fire co. or dial 911.
Just to follow up, Walter did contact me. Walter, thank you.
Jim, I agree with your suggestion but I think it would be better for there to be a general business number on the website. All customers should be on an even footing.
I read Walter's response here on the forum. It sounds like there may have been something he need to attend to in his life, other than trains. Sometimes life presents us with things that demand all our attention. In those times, other interests and commitments must take a back seat.
Ray Lombardo,
I agree 100 %. Walter should have a phone number on his website. I'm surprised he doesn't have one there. Since I no longer have any trains I haven't pay any attention to his website.
