Scratchbuilt anticlimber for the C-Liner | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

One of the biggest issues with the Rivarossi C-Liner isn't the grilles, it's the anticlimber.

If you look at the myriad of photos online, you can see that the Erie-builts and the Consolidation Series used the same anticlimber and pilot.

Therefore, a simple swap of an Atlas pilot should have done the trick.

It didnt. They just didn't line up enough to make me happy.

So I rebuilt it with a new one to match.

well see how it lines up a little later.

Fit seems ok.

A little tweaking and it might work.

Frame needed some trimming, as well.

Pilot tweaked...

I'm going to try and use a Bondic pen to fill the cracks. Should be self-leveling.

Next step is to soda blast the paint and start filling the scratches in the body. I've used Tamiya white filler with success; so I'll give that a shot.
