SD-35 for Dummies......(my new locos) | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I made my twice a month trip to my 'local' hobby shop this weekend. The shop has had a Atlas SD-35, 'used' but new really, in CSX paint for a while. When I talked to the owner he made me a deal I could not pass up. It is a non-powered locomotive but that works out well for me. I had recently bought a WbB GP-38 in Chessie colors so a SD-35 in early CSX scheme will go with it well. This will represent the transition years for Chessie and CSX. The Atlas SD-35 is more detailed but the two together look good and when pulling a string of 1980 era freight cars should be cool! And running the SD-35 up front with it's figures in cab will make more logical team! Love the bulk and brute look of the SD......

Best news is I have less than $240 in the team! THX

That's a good looking loco! You should run it with your CSX wbb repaint you've shown us earlier.

THANKS!! A Atlas SD-35 was never really on my radar.....but when I thought about it....lots of combinations possible....so I had to have it!
