Bad move on the part of the Powers in Seattle. Kudos to St. Louis if they get them. Every trip I made to Seattle included a ride on the waterfront line. Hey, if St. Louis doesn't want them all, send one to the Illinois Railway Museum. I assume they run 600 VDC?
I hope they do come here to St. Louis, but I feel bad for Seattle--it's too bad that the powers that be in that city don't see the value of the historic cars.
I must admit that I wish St. Louis would run some PCC cars when the project is finished, but these trolleys sound like they have a lot of charm....
And yes they do run on 600 V DC. just like all the trackless trolleys do in Seattle.
Also, there is a 6th Melbourne trolley that was never restored . It was one that was purchased and not checked out before hand. And the components did not match the other five.
I know the trucks were different, but not sure about the rest.
