Good Morning Everyone,

I will start off with a few pictures of some components I am making for one of my customers. Nothing has been painted yet. The loops are expansion joints for a high temperature pipe that will run along the side of a bridge to a steel mill.

lets see what you have been working on.IMG_6921IMG_6920IMG_6924IMG_6922

Due to narrow cantilevered extensions on 3 walls of my basement, I am always looking to come up with solutions for limited-depth buildings. This particular front turned out pretty neat - just Ameri-towne pieces and the sides and roof are made out of styrene. I then covered the sides with a product sold in Greece via e-bay - it's self-adhesive brick paper that has a relief to it. With some add on details this building comes in at exactly 5" deep. I did have to chisel away some ballast to get the front to fit flush with plywood surface. I attached a left-over sign from another building as well as a few vents.

Really interesting work displayed today Alan and my friends of the hobby…

In November My wife Carol encouraged me to do something and improve the church terrible color of the yellow walls and gray roof.

So I finally did so.  I ordered from EBay the church pastor and parishioners, I had some Alan Miller’s setting BeePeople on hand.  Assembled some wonderful wood benches for which the church people to set from my box of goodies.
I split the solid front door, added interior windows and so this is what I came up with finally…

My Carol says the church is much nicer now, and clever.  Front now reminds her of the late arrivals to the Christmas Eve church service…

Beautiful work Bar!  I love the scenery look (of Maine?) that you've fit into a short space.  Do you have photos of the entire module online?  I'm curious how you are constructing the modules.  Thanks for sharing.

Dave,

Thank you. My Maine-themed layout is almost half way through. The size of the basic module is 130 cm x 60 cm and the frame material is aluminum. When my layout is "finished" someday, it will have 12-14 modules + an option for an extension. I'm trying to fit a versatile landscape into it, however, in such a way that there will be a paper factory at one end and a harbor at the other end. I'm about to start a new module and I could take pictures of the structures then. There is also LED lighting above the layout. Thank you for your interest. 🤝

Johan
