I have Legacy engines that I operate from a Base 3 system. I would like to run Proto 2/3 engines from MTH/Atlas. Will the new MTH WTIU allow me to do this with my iPhone and home Wi-Fi without any additional devices.

Yes, it will and you can run both on the same track if you'd like. search the forum, there are a number of helpful threads on how to integrate both into your layout.

You will need the DCS app from MTH on your phone, which may seem obvious, but is worth mentioning. Not expensive. Read whatever information is with the app as to compatible versions of the iPhone, since the latter changes every year or so.
