I don’t often contribute to this thread because of my Rube Goldberg approach to scenery on my layout (quick, simple and less than perfect realism and more of a caricature), but I admire the outstanding scenery work displayed here, so my contribution appears below. It’s from a short video I took during a recent visit to the magnificent NJ HiRailers’ layout:

I fit and glued all the pieces of a concrete parking lot together this week. The concrete was make from 0.04 styrene sheet scribed with a dull exacto blade.

Anthony K I love your method of concrete. Very simple and realistic. Beautiful structure Alan! Arnold a lot can be learned from that NJ Highrailers layout. Absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Been a slow week for me on layout work. I have only managed to finish some more window treatments for the Conrad building. Hope to finish up the windows this week and begin detailing a few individual rooms that items will be able to be seen from the windows. Have a great week and Merry Christmas!
