As I write this, I'm sitting bedside with my 91 year old father in his bedroom on Long Island.  He's slipping in and out of delirium.  Dad was not just a great man, but he was a good man too. He introduced me to, and supported me in my life's two great loves: trains and sailing.  His first train set was a 1932 Lionel set made for Macy's.  It had a #262 and an assortment of 4 wheeled freight cars.  Later, he got a #238E Torpedo set.  I still have both.  And I still have our little gaff rigged sailboat we spent so many contemplative summer afternoons together.  Pass peacefully dad... you're loved more than you could know...
