I am looking for reference on Weaver's Quality Craft line of O scale brass steam and diesel locomotives.  This will also include the electric as well.

I recently acquired the B&O 4-6-2 Cicinnatian  with certificate  it stated the run on them was a total of 140

I also have the N&W J but dont know how many where made, this statement also applies the a milwaukee road 4-6-4 hudson in hiawatha paint.

the following I would like more  information on  a pennys 2-8-2, and southern 2-8-2.

what I am basically looking for is all the Weaver Quality Craft brass production numbers (total for each locomotive that was manufactured).  I may have missed this information in the pass or it may not be available.  I am trying to get each one of the Weaver locomotive that where produced if I can get that done.

Then I want to work getting the Right-of-way Brass, I already have some of those sitting in my closet for now.

thank you to all who help with this endeavor!

The Milwaukee Road F7 Hiawatha 4-6-4  Baltic, is 285 out of a production  of 458   3 rail cab#100  , the also made. A Milwaukee road  A class  4-4-2 Hiawatha in cabs 1 and 3 don't know the total count ( I have 2)  , an Milwaukee road class  S2  4-8-4, and a Milwaukee Road  F6a 4-6-4 Baltic .  I believe they produced a  Little Joe  as well as several Diesel engines and cars

From the "Certificates of Authenticity" for the locomotives I have, production numbers are as follows: 3 rail Tuscan Red GG-1 # 4911, 218, 3 rail NYC 4-6-4 Dreyfus Hudson # 5445, 250,  3 rail Pennsylvania 4-6-0 G-5, # 1961, 550,  3 rail NYC 0-6-0 switcher #232, 225.  I also have a NKP Berk and a NYNH&H I-5 but they are packed away at the moment. Hope this helps .   Earl G.

I have attached a spreadsheet in 3 different formats (.xls, .pdf, and .csv) that I hope you will be able to open and read in one of those formats.  If you can open the .xls, it will be the easiest to understand and follow.  I make no claims of accuracy with respect to this data since I downloaded it from a much earlier post on some forum, maybe even this one.  Unfortunately, the one piece of info that you are looking for, quantities, is missing, and it doesn't clearly indicate brass models although some diecast is identified.  If you are fortunate enough to gather that info, maybe you can update this document and repost for all that are interested.

Good luck,

Chuck

PS: Just noticed in my records that some diesels were done under the "Ultraline" name, but I think they were all plastic or diecast.

Weaver Ultraline diesels started as all plastic with chain dive and solid pilots. From the import of the ALCo C630 from Samhongsa the diesels had a plastic body, metal frame, dual motors, die cast pilots, and metal hand rails. Many imported diesels had the die cast trucks and fuel tanks. The two diesels Weaver originally developed; the RS3 and the GP38-2 later were updated after the turn of the century with dual can motors, metal frames. Die cast truck blocks, and stamped handrails. The GP38 still retained the Delryn plastic truck sides with Hyatt bearing detail.

Although I can’t assist you with the information you’re looking for, based on previous Posts the beautiful Weaver Tennesseean steam locomotive may be one of the most difficult to acquire.

Good Luck on your quest!

Has anyone produced that besides Weaver? It's is so attractive I'd guess even with high production numbers they don't show up for resale often.

Maybe we need a thread with images of the Weaver Certificates that show the total production numbers? Do all 3rail units have TMCC/Railsounds? I have seen some 2rail with sound and some 2rail without sound.

There is one on E Bay right now, but I think Overland made on in 2 rail Brass

The quantities on Weaver certificates refer to identical locomotives with the same road number.  In the case of the PRR 4-6-0, the only road number was #1961, so 550 was the total production.  Their PRR L1s 2-8-2 came in two road numbers (738 and 1138) so the total production is the sum of what the certificates show for those road numbers.  The PRR H10s 2-8-0 came in 3 road numbers (7609, 8421 and 9620), and so on.

Did not know that. The various certificates from multiple road number models would provide us the percentages then. What was the average run by model total? 250? 500?
