In building my PRR catenary there are areas where I do not want to use real wire but rather a substitute.  Specifically the signal wire, the 132 thousand volt overhead etc.   I do have wire and insulators I obtained from Ed Duddy, but they are stiff and while good for the real catenary, would be a pain for the "decorative" wiring.   I am open to any and all suggestions.

I'd go with Berkshire Valley polymer thread in a minute. I've used it to rig a high-scale USS Missouri in 1:350 scale to amazing effect. I used the fine gauge wire, but they have heavier for O'gauge telephone pole wires. It holds like crazy with a tiny amount of CA, and if you bump it, it simply springs back.

This product even allows you to attach one line at 90º to another with such a small amount of CA that you simply can't see what's holding them together. Notice the neat tension stretch which is similar to the way the radio antenna lie on the real ship. I used black for the antenna leads and "rope" colored for the flag halyards.

So... definitely, got with E-Z Line.
