As mentioned earlier I'm in the process of rebuilding my Tombstone Southwest layout.  Thought it might be fun to try and recreate the OK Corral gunfight with old west figures, but I wanted some sound and light if possible.  Decided to build my own.  Picked up a toy gun from the Dollar store which had sound and light effects built into it.  Rather than rewiring everything I just glued the gun to a blank, cut a hole in the table top and stuck the barrel up.  Covered it with a mini stand and hid it with brush.  I put my gunfighters on top shooting at the others below (not exactly how the OK fight went).  I then made a little lever which I attached to the table top and ran a wire to the trigger on the gun.  When the lever is pulled the gun fires.  Seemed like a simple solution to a fun problem.  Now when the kids come over they have another little feature to experiment with on the layout.  I did a quick video with some pictures if you'd like to see it.
