060 to 048 track and swithces

Hello everyone. First post but have enjoyed reading. I have an Lionel fastrack 048 inside loop and will be adding an 060 outside loop. I'm going to use a Lionel SD70ACE showing min. 54 curve. If I use 060 switches to create a crossover between the tracks will that work?
