There is an article in Mr. Muffin's recent newsletter link to the "O scale resource magazine" discussing LocoFi.  there are a few mentions in past threads of this option but not much in the area of comparison with blunami.  curious to hear any experiences and thanks in advance.

I haven't tried LocoFi.  The good news is that the "Large Scale Modification Plug 'n Play" option includes a high-current H-bridge motor driver, so it can handle large steam loco motors such as Pittman, Canon, etc.  The complete kit also includes a bridge rectifier and filter capacitor, so it can be used on AC track systems.  The bad news is that it doesn't appear to support cruise control, fully synchronized steamer chuff, and electrocouplers.  The external H-bridge amplifier isolates the LocoFi card from the motor, making BEMF cruise impractical.  Lighting outputs appear to be basic and there's no indication of "utility" outputs to control electrocouplers, extra lighting, etc.  Pricing is certainly competitive.
