I am working on building my first layout I have a space of 10'x12' to work with and would like some ideas of how to do some track layout with 072 curves. I think I am going with Fast Track for the easy use and looks good enough for me. Also what I should I put down over the plywood for grass/dirt?

All the suggestions are welcome.

Thank you

I would approach it in this manner:

1. Am I going to build around the room or an island layout?

2. Then, map out the doors/windows/closets to be considered.

Once you have done that, then you can play with the track plan.

I wouldn't do anything about the grass/dirt until I saw what the track plan looked like built.....I would want to see what I had built first.

There are no windows or doors in my way. I plan on building a shelf layout off the two walls the layout it butting up against. I am going to make the benches 36in deep all the way around. Here is a picture of an idea of what I want just on a bigger scale.
