I have a post war 164 Lionel log loader. The lights work and the dump works, but I can't get the chain drive to move the logs from the unload to the load side. Any suggestions or diagrams. I have looked at the wiring pictures online but they show 4 wiring screws while my 164 has only three wiring screws underneath.

@360RPM Please check out @Susan Deats website: https://slsprr.net/features/164LumberLoader.htm
She shares both the wiring diagram and an annotated picture of the bottom of the 164.
If you share a picture of the bottom of your loader, we can probably identify what is going on.

I think you have a pre-war version not post-war, are the two posts for power on the top deck of the loader or on the side? Pre-war versions I've seen only have 3 screws like yours. Also make sure the motor is free and the gears and drive shaft are clean and freshly lubed. Both the 164 and 97 coal loader use a similar drive assembly and old grease can lock them up tight. I'd see if you can find the pre war instructions/wiring, unfortunately I don't have a copy that I know of.
