Hello all 

Sad news in the toy train world ...the original Lionel factory location ( granted Lionel was a very small company and rented only a small portion of the building )  1901 -1904 at the corner of Murray and Church, NYC  went up in flames yesterday.

Below are some photos of the building from this April on the annual pilgrimage to NYC .

Lionel made a number of electrical novelties at Murray st  ....including  electric toy trains   2 7/8" gauge ...

The Lionel factory's at New Haven , Ct and Newark , NJ .... within the last 10 years have been lost also .

Shame to loose a link to the past .
