2 loops each independent to be joined by 022 switches----where do the insulating pins go on the switches to avoid engine stoppage when going from inside loop to outside loop thanks Greg

On all 3 rails between curved tracks to maintain non-derailing feature. Be sure both loops are at the same voltage when moving between loops.
Steel pins at yellow circles, fiber pins at red circles. Blue jumper is optional to carry common across power district.

ADCX Rob, Excellent picture and explanation! 2 additional comments, if I may: I would go with constant voltage plugs if his transformer has the tap and sufficient power. The other thing that may help is to use 1 controller for both switches. With the setup shown, both switches will always be in the same orientation: either straight or crossing over.
