Joe you have come along way from the start of your train room to the point of where your layout is now! You have just done amazing work and attention to detail! I am just wondering if you are using 2" foam board between the track for your towns and villages?
For the O gauge portion, I will probably fill in the areas with foam board and use plaster cloth to fill in some of the gaps. At least that's the plan anyway.

Thanks Joe, I am just asking because when it comes time to start my next layout I want to try and use the same method.
Make no small plans…. That is amazing, way to keep at it and get so much done in a relatively short time, or so it seems. Love the standard gauge element, that’s kinda my thing these days. Awesome!
Wow, This will be a fun layout to visit, a one of a kind, I wish I lived closer to @NJCJOE , I would sure take the opportunity to check out this amazing train room, a super Man Cave…Happy Railroading Everyone
Larry,
Road trip! Come on down.

Hi Joe I know I am late in the game as I am going back and reading your post I ordered the same type of lighting you told me about, I just got the ones that change colors.
My next question is where did you get the carpet tiles?
@mike g. This is the place I ordered the carpet from.
