Lionel O gauge Polar Express running issues

Looking for some help with my Lionel O gauge Polar Express Locomotive. It is the First edition Lionchief set from 2014. A couple years ago, the engine just stopped running, no movement, no power, nothing. I took it apart and looked it over, but couldn't find any glaring issues with it. I forgot about it until recently when I was working on fixing other locomotives I have. Even though I have now fixed many trains, This one eludes me, and any help from the forum would be appreciated.
