After finding myself in the Hocking Valley region of Ohio for a family reunion, I discovered that nearby, the @hockingvalleyscenicrailway1014 offered scenic train rides along the Hocking River from Nelsonville as far as the outskirts of Logan, OH. This is a former C&O main line to Columbus that served several coal mines through World War II. I decided to pay a visit and chase the day's two excursions, which today were led by one of several Paducah rebuilt-Geeps I saw that year. Most of the train crew were all railfans and excited to see me out, and engineer Mark gave a particularly great show with the former Sprint cable GP10M.
