Christmas light gondola.  Bulbs are from a light up necklace with Evans Design LED bulbs.

Marx deluxe caboose.  This is a good model of a Union Pacific CA3 caboose.  Lettered for Union Pacific; the prototype is preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum.

I found myself wanting a transfer caboose.  I searched the "inner web" and found very few pictures to use as a prototype.  So... I started by cutting up two damaged postwar cabooses.  A #6357 and a #6457.

I reduced the caboose body by 1.5 inches.

I placed the short box on an 8 inch Lionel flatcar as a possible chassis.

I like the proportions.  But I want this to be an all postwar build.  Next up, I cut the two caboose chassis.  Now the mock-up looks like this.

I've got a little welding to do.  Besides the chassis stretch, I will add metal handrails and ladders.  I'll use bar end trucks.
