Ordered this set, just arrived today, have not opened it yet. Found a video review of the set, looks like Lionel did quite a nice job on this starter set. Here is the video I found for the set.
Looks great. Can't tell if the wheels are the powdered aluminum like many MPC or chromed steel. Only issue is that I wish the caboose was the PW SP style rather than the MPC caboose. But both styles are relevant in Lionel history.
What is really cool about this set is the use of the 1947 catalog cover on the box front. This is a very nice set for the money. I ordered the Pennsylvania version of the engine.
