Scott is taking reservations for a 2nd run of SD40-2's. Hopefully these don't take nearly 8 years like the first run. I'm pretty confident they won't especially since everyone knows just how terrific these turned out. 😃
Anyhow, after receiving all 4 Wheeling & Lake Erie models from this 1st run I ordered 2 more for the 2nd run. I've already mentioned in the notes that I would like to see an 88' nose version since an 81" nose version was done the first time around.

I would think the quick turn around on a 2nd run would be the exact same paint schemes and road numbers with the addition of items that can easily be fixed prior to another run which introduces new schemes, etc.
Interesting! I wonder how many numbers per road name are planned? I do like the Wisconsin and Southern units! But...if Scott was to do NS low hoods with the Admiral cabs, there would be no hesitations! I have to give some serious thought to this.......
The 2nd Run will be identical to the first run in terms of roads and detail configurations as it will be a quick turn project. There will be some minor QC corrections on the graphics and additional road numbers are possible.
The first run generally had 4 road numbers per road name, but we can add numbers if someone is looking for unique numbers beyond the initial 4 numbers whenever possible. A few roads had less than 4 numbers only because there were less than 4 prototype versions to choose from.

Thanks for clearing that up. Scott posted last week that an additional run would be a rerun with no new paint schemes or road names. That could occur 2 to 3 years from now. I wasn't aware, however, that additional road #s can be requested. I would be interested in adding another locomotive to the 4 I have.
