I am designing my first ever three rail layout, using RR track, and MTH ScaleTrax. The turnouts that I have used for almost the entire design are 072. They seem to save a little space over #4's, and especially #6's. My theme is logging or industrial, so I will be running smaller steam engines, including Claimax's, and Shay's, and 4 axle diesel units. Before I plunk down a substantial chunk of change for the 072's-- I am asking for advice from folks with experience with Scaletrax-- are the 072's more prone to derailment, or loss of power, or DCS signal that the # 4's would be?   I have attempted to attach the file with my track plan.
