I'm new to the Lionel World and after searching for weeks to find my right layout I finally did its Ken OScales layout described in the subject line. I have a few questions 1. What bridge is being used? 2. Is there a layout showing all the positions of Lionel part number pieces? 3. Explain the difference between all the right and left turnouts, example 6-12017 and 6-12018 are the same as 6-81948 and 6-81951?

I will try to answer some of your questions even though I don't have Ken's book. The bridge appears in your scan to be at least 30" long. One possibility may be the MTH Rail King 40-1101 which will work with FasTrack.
As far as the differences between FasTrack switches, for a given curve diameter (O31, O36, O48, O60, or O72) and direction (LH or RH) all the variations have the same footprint and are physically interchangeable. The differences between similar sizes are in their types of control. Control types have evolved over the years and include Manual Control, Remote Control (wired), and 2 varieties of TMCC Command Control both of which include a wired physical remote control toggle switch. The most recent type (Remote Command) can also be controlled wirelessly with a Legacy Remote and Base.
Here is a list I keep for my Inventory purposes that shows the different models of switches:
I'm unable to see enough detail in the attached pdf file to determine where all the track pieces go. Maybe you could contact forum member Ken Hoganson directly for the AnyRail file which shows this.
