Just would like to know if this wifi interface unit and the app work well with old TIU's that do not have the USB port (serial to USB adapter cable is required). Do the main functions of running the trains work well? Using only MTH Premier engines, PS2 and PS3.
I have an older TIU Rev H2 and a serial adapter that works fine (for past upgrades. etc).

Do you know if the latest wiu firmware is installed? This one is brand new (pre-ordered for 9 months).
I don't see where the app tells me the firmware version.

You do not see it in the app- you have to use a browser and log into the IP for the LUCI interface.
Follow the firmware update instructions.
