I bought one of these recently with the B unit with the horn. It runs good but it seems not quite as strong as I expected. The traction tires need to be replaced and I want to get inside and clean everything and replace that which needs replacing.

Problem is the one screw at the front come out fine but the 2 very small screws at the back are not in good shape. Same with the unpowered A. The heads are small and worn, some phillips head some not and I can't get any screwdrivers to bite enough. Before I try drilling out the screwheads and then drilling out the screws and replacing them with larger screws can anyone suggest another approach? The screws are extremely close to the metal steps so I don't have very much to get in there. It looks like someone before me tried to get them out, probably more than once and failed. The two different screw heads suggest that the screws came out at some point but got wrecked in the process.

Also how do you change the traction tires. It looks like the side frames need to be off.

Help!

Wow, I would need to see pics of this because there is only supposed to be a front screw on these with slip-on brackets at the rear.

Thanks to all. I tried again and dang if it didn't pull out. I'm always a little hesitant to just gorilla something but that is what it needed, a slow steady strong pull. I put a bit of oil on the tabs to help slide it back. Thanks!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful that I have you folks here to answer the big and the small questions.
